Busoga Trust has fostered its partnership with development agencies like WaterAid in Mpigi which has resulted in funding for the project for the past five years. This relationship has led to the realisation of an increase in safe water coverage in Buwama, Kamengo, Nkozi and Muduma sub-counties of 40% and sanitation coverage of 22%.

Along with the safe water coverage increase, we have implemented programmes to address sanitation and hygiene as well. One such programme was designed to institute school hygiene education through knowledge management and promotion for change, by developing a comprehensive school sanitation and hygiene program in all the schools in the project area of Buwama in Mpigi district

We have also carried out a comprehensive WASH in schools programme in Mpigi for Simavi. The programme brought latrines, rainwater catchment tanks and hygiene education to 10 beneficiary schools in the region.
