Andrew Pearson
- Director & Trustee
Andrew started the Trust in 1982 and has been the driving force behind it ever since. He is a determined fund-raiser,
working with individuals, schools and companies, and bringing in nearly £250,000 from these sources over the last
two years alone. Andrew won funding from DFID and the European Union,
and his enthusiasm for Uganda and his desire to see people provided with basic amenities such as clean water has inspired many others to go
and see for themselves and get involved with the Trust.

Frances David
-
Trustee
When Frances David retired from teaching she went to Uganda in 1994 to work as a volunteer teacher for a year. She lived in Jinja at the Busoga Trust Guest house and saw for herself the work that the project was doing in the villages, and the school and parish links that were being established. On her return the then chairman, Sir Conrad Schiemann asked her to work as a volunteer fund raiser for the diocese of Luwero where the trust was just opening a second base for operations. She returns to Uganda every year so that she can report back to donors and encourage the development of school and parish links in Luwero. She loves the country and says that her involvement with the Trust has enriched her life immensely.
